**Purpose of role**: The EYFS TA will work alongside Teaching and Support colleagues in planning, implementing and assessing children’s learning opportunities within the EYFS. The early years educator will assist in the educational and social development of Early Years pupils under the direction and guidance of the Headteacher, SENDCo and Class Teacher.
- Full time apprentice position: 30 Hours per week / 52 weeks per year.
- **Wage**: £6 Per hour
- **Apprenticeship details**: Working to complete the Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship. Typical Duration to complete: 19 months.
- Training Provider: LMP Group 'Rated 3rd best provider across the UK' (All learning delivered online/ remote, alongside the full time job role).

**Job description**:

- To participate in planning, preparing and leading learning activities with teachers, evaluating the impact and adjusting activities accordingly
- Prepare and adapt resources for learning activities in accordance with plans and in response to pupil need
- Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs
- Be involved in planning, organising and implementing individual development plans for pupils (eg ILPs)
- Organise and safely manage the appropriate learning environment and resources
- Promote and reinforce children’s self-esteem and independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward the development of independent learning
- Support the engagement of parents in pupils’ learning
- Monitor pupils’ participation and progress and interact in children’s play, modelling appropriate language
- Assist in maintaining and analysing records of pupils’ progress, through observation of children’s learning and play
- Liaise with staff and other relevant professional - providing information about pupils as appropriate
- Escort and supervise pupils on educational and out of school activities
- Guide and support pupils in their personal, social and emotional development
- Assist pupils with eating, dressing and hygiene, as required, whilst encouraging independence

Lunchtime Supervision:

- Support colleagues to set up and tidy away the hall for lunches; including setting up and putting down of tables and benches
- Supervise children during their lunchbreak; supporting with food and eating as necessary

Support for the School:

- Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to Child Protection, Health and Safety and Security, Confidentiality and GDPR - reporting all concerns to the appropriate person
- Support the Christian Ethos and aims of the school
