**At Care South, a leading not for profit social care organisation, we have an opportunity for a full time Trainee Care Supervisor to join us, working at our Somerset (Crewkerne) office. For this role a driving licence and access to a vehicle for work is required.**
This exciting Trainee Care Supervisor role will involve working 4 days per week Monday to Friday and alternate weekends, totalling 10 working days over a 2 week period.

- Key duties for a Care Supervisor include (but may not be limited to):
- To support and supervise our Home Care Assistants
- Oversee the professional development of new and existing staff
- To allocate staff to training, recording leave, sickness and other absences when needed
- To work with the wider team to ensure continuity of approach, maintaining clear communication
- To cover care calls when they are not allocated
Through a rota system with the supervisory team you will ensure that on-call cover is maintained out-of-hours (7.00am - 9.00am, 5.00pm - 10.30pm plus weekends and bank holidays) and an additional payment will be received

- A willingness to undertake level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Strong IT skills, ability to multitask and work to internal objectives
- A genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Holder of an enhanced DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake one
