**About us**

Sharpak Bridgwater manufactures plastic packaging for the food industry. The use of food packaging is essential for optimising food quality and preservation. Plastic food packaging extends the shelf-life of food, reduces food colour change and wastage, preserves the food’s nutrient content and prevents harmful food borne illnesses.

We recycle all plastic waste onsite and reuse it in our manufacturing process. Sharpak Bridgwater is also proud to be part of Prevent Ocean Plastic and Operation Clean Sweep.

**The Role**

We have a fantastic opportunity to come and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Bridgwater.

In the Packing Inspector role you will work as part of a larger team of Packers and will pack plastic trays as they are made through dual-thermoforming machines. **This means once trained, you will be required to run 2 lines as you work.**

You will also be required to undertake quality control on the product before packing.

Working Monday to Friday with a pay rate of **£12.75 per hour.**

You will work on a 3-shift rotating basis and therefore would require flexibility.

The shifts rotate backwards on a weekly basis. For example, you will work one week Monday-Friday from 6am to 2pm, the next week from 10pm to 6am, and then a 3rd week from 2pm to 10pm.

You will not be required to work weekends, however, overtime is available daily, if they wish to do so, at a rate of time and a half.

Applicants must be available to work days, evenings and nights on a week-by-week basis.

Previous food production experience is desirable but not required.

You will get on-the-job training alongside an induction when you start.
