Parts Advisor

**Summary**
A key member the company team, the **Parts Sales Advisor / Administrator** (PSA) will be part of a small sales support team. This person needs to be versatile and flexible to be able to react to the varying requirements of the role as it covers multiple and diverse areas of the business.

In this role, the PSA will need to work in close co-operation with clients, the territory sales team & other individuals from various departments in the business. This individual must ensure that departmental and ultimately the company goals are met by working methodically and efficiently to ensure any tasks are processed accurately, completely and in a timely manner.

The post requires its incumbent to; have excellent multi-tasking ability, be well organised, be computer literate and fully conversant with Microsoft Office, be able to communicate at all levels, have good comprehension & interrogative skills, have a general / basic knowledge of vehicles, engines and their component parts. An in-depth knowledge of engines and components and a full, clean UK driving license would be an advantage, but not essential.

Formal qualifications will be considered, however experience and a pro-active approach to all aspects of operating the business as part of a small team is the most important asset.

Description:
The functions performed by the Parts Sales Advisor / Administrator are many and varied. The following is a list of the principal duties of this role.

The Parts Sales Advisor / Administrator will, without prejudice to the list in this Job Description, perform such duties in keeping with the necessary operation of the business and site housekeeping as may be assigned to him/her and as directed by the Board from time to time.

Duties

The duties of the PSA will include the following, although this is not an exhaustive list, and may be amended at the sole discretion of the Board:

- Process enquiries from Clients and the territory sales team for any of the company’s products.
- Issue quotations to customers in an appropriate and approved format.
- Negotiate appropriate payment terms based on company policy and guidelines.
- Raise Sales Orders with appropriate ‘back-to-back’ Purchase Orders or Works Orders on Sage.
- Issue Order Acknowledgements via Sage.
- Raise and issue Pro-Forma Invoices for customer pre-payments.
- Where necessary pursue pre-payments or overdue payments from customers to enable unimpeded flow of material and maintenance of a good working relationship with the customer.
- Participate in internal and external meetings and training as necessary & identified by the Directors.
- Maintain an appropriate level of personal appearance suited to the specific environment in which the PSA is operating and within guidelines provided by the company.

The duties of this role may develop over time, to meet the demands and requirements of the business.

We offer a 37.5 hour working week.
Salary between £27,000pa and £30,000pa depending on experience.
22 days paid annual leave per year.

The probation period for this job role is 6 months.
