Development Area Project Social Worker

The organisation has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join their service in Ellesmere Port, to develop their Fostering Service in Lancashire. You will recruit, assess and train new Foster Carers and support their professional developmentin their role and support them and the children placed with them.
The Development Area Project Social Worker will require creativity, flexibility, and the ability to travel within the service area to plan and deliver recruitment events, to expand the Foster Carer Family and capacity to provide high quality foster placementsfor children.
The Development Area Project Social Worker will have experience of working within Fostering either with an IFA or in the Local Authority. You will need the skills and knowledge to enable the completion of initial home visits through to Form F assessmentand presentation at an independent panel.
The Development Area Project Social Worker will work with and be supervised by the Operations Manager for Service Development and the local Fostering Service Manager will also support you to meet the aspirations they have to grow their service in Lancashire.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has the drive and ambition to provide more high-quality foster placements for children in the Lancashire area where it is known that there is a shortfall of foster families and children who are in need of care.
