Chainsaw Operator

**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Fell, cross-cut, prune, and remove trees, shrubs, and overgrown vegetation using chainsaws and other cutting tools.
- Conduct directional felling and crown reduction in accordance with site plans and safety guidelines.
- Remove invasive species, storm-damaged trees, and hazardous growth obstructing pathways, utilities, or infrastructure.
- Follow vegetation management plans and instructions from supervisors.
- Comply with all relevant H&S standards, including PPE requirements, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
- Implement safe felling techniques, manual handling practices, and traffic management controls.
- Participate in risk assessments and report hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in vegetation management, gardening, or construction is preferred.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures within outdoor work environments.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- PTS is required but not essential
- A valid Driver's licence is essential.

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: £12.97-£22.43 per hour
