In this Civil Engineer opportunity in London, you will be joining a division of Europe's largest generator of renewable energy. It is responsible for developing, owning, and operating renewable power production facilities across the UK. This division focusesspecifically on Electric Vehicle charging spaces throughout Europe.
In the UK it currently has over 350 charging stations installed and is now looking for an analytical Business Analyst to help expand this number.
Job description - Civil Engineer
You will be an integral part of a small but rapidly growing operations team and will report directly to the Operations Manager.
You will be responsible for ensuring smooth processes and procedures are embedded within the business. Alongside this, you will be tasked with supporting ongoing daily operations to enable scalable business growth.
Key responsibilities - Civil Engineer
In this Graduate Civil Engineer role in London, your tasks will involve
- Management of the enquiry process and all relevant subcontractors involved
- The provision of pricing and connection designs, and the execution of documents prior to the installation being instructed
- The management of multiple connection offers simultaneously, with numerous counterparties
- Keeping track of all enquiries and managing all updates as and when is required
- Producing bid packages for installation subcontractors
- Evaluating and processing quotes - sharing findings with senior management
- Ensuring work is completed both internally and by subcontractors to a high standard
- Tracking tendering opportunities and timeframes for projects and frameworks
- Conducting detailed reviews of tender documents and project requirements
Job requirements - Civil Engineer
- At least a 2.1 from university, in Civil or Electric Engineering
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft knowledge
- Basic knowledge of EV/energy industry
- Understanding of CAD/electrical connections/site layouts
- A genuine passion for sustainability
- A growth mindset and keen to learn new skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to keep many plates spinning at once
- Fantastic communication skills, both written and spoken
