The Education Entitlement Service (EES) strives to deliver outstanding services for our customers, predominately the children of Coventry, who may be requiring access to education or alternative education provision. We ensure vulnerable children are appropriately supported; have a voice, that hopefully leads to their high achievement and excellent progress.
The Outdoor Education Service made up of experienced staff members provides high quality outdoor and residential experiences within the beautiful Snowdonia National Park.
What is the job role?
**Based at Plas Dol y Moch in Eryri (Snowdonia), N. Wales**, to be a member of the Coventry Outdoors staff team delivering a range of Outdoor Education and Adventurous Activities, working with children, young people, schools, families and other key groups.
Experienced in the provision of Outdoor Education our Outdoor and Adventure Tutor will be required to plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality programmes and sessions to the wide variety of groups that visit our centre each year.
The Outdoor and Adventure Tutor will be expected to work both evening duties (with overnight on-call), and weekends.
**Please note this is a 0.76 (28hrs a week) Fixed Term, Term Time only position covering a maternity leave period between January and July 2026.**
**The post holder will be deployed during the typical school term, plus the first 2 weeks of the Summer holidays. The salary will be pro-rata, with** additional increments for weekend working, and Stand-by allowance for evening duties.**
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
