FILM AND SMART SURFACE SOLUTIONS (FSSS)

Our newest division capitalizes on emerging trends in displays and in-mold electronics in the automotive industry. It combines our extensive offering of specialty films for the industrial and automotive industries with our developing portfolio of conductive and non-conductive inks. The combination of these products allows us to create a formed, structurally rigid three-dimensional part that’s decorative with circuit pathways and enhanced electronic features to enable the human-machine interface in an automobile.

**Job Purpose**:
To provide a general maintenance service to the Wantage manufacturing site focusing on the handling, collection and disposal of waste materials around the manufacturing site as well as basic maintenance tasks as required.

This is a full or part time role (2 or 3 days per week) working daily from 8am to 4pm

**Responsibilities**:

- To complete delegated work and reactive work allocated by the Maintenance Supervisor, in order to ensure the Wantage site is maintained to a consistently high standard.
- Undertake the collection, transportation & processing of waste materials across the site to meet with Health and Safety best practice
- The emptying of specified external litter & recycling bins daily & maintenance of designated areas at as required.
- Daily inspection and general maintenance of specified equipment on site and appropriate remedial action as necessary.
- Assist with maintaining the grounds, including litter picking and removal of rubbish around the site.
- To report any safety concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor so that action can be taken in line with the site safety procedures
- To achieve a thorough knowledge of the Wantage site
- To put into practice, training and instructions given and carry out any task related to maintenance, waste & recycling to contribute to the efficient delivery of the site maintenance service
- To actively promote and ensure Health and Safety is prioritised within the maintenance team completing all training modules designated in a timely manner.
- Provide support in response to severe weather conditions e.g.snow clearance or gritting as directed by the maintenance supervisor
- Undertake small maintenance and repair tasks around the site buildings

**Requirements & Qualifications**:

- A forklift truck licence would be advantageous but full training will be given.
- Previous experience in a similar role or experience within a trade would be desirable

- Good communications skills
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety
- Effective team player
- Experience in buildings related trades
