**Job Purpose**
The Cloud Enablement & Adoption (CEA) Function is responsible for managing the Cloud Enablement & Adoption related services in the Cloud environment, specifically:

- Cloud adoption & Migration Strategy
- Cloud Innovation & Prototyping
- Technology Scouting
- Migration Business Case support
- Demand & Capacity Management
- Cloud Training & Talent Management
- Organisational Change Management
- Business Engagement & Standardised Migration Patterns
- Migration Factory
- Cloud Adoption Strategy

**What you will do**
The CEA Function Lead is responsible for leading the CEA team and overseeing the enablement and adoption of Cloud. The role of the CEA Function Lead is to drive the vision of delivering best-in-class solutions enabling the business to meet it technology goalsaligned to business strategy by exploiting solutions and services.
This is an opportunity to be part of a new CCoE leadership team.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
The role holder will be expected to have extensive experience within Solution Architecture and be familiar with migration and transformation aspects of IT operating environments.
The primary need from any cloud adoption function is the timely, high-quality implementation of the technical solutions outlined in the adoption plan. These solutions should align with governance requirements and business outcomes, and should take advantageof technology, tools, and automation solutions that are available to the team.
Specific objectives are:

- Using delegated authority from the Head of the Cloud & DevOps, give strategic direction on CEA related matters, including making key decisions on behalf of the CCoE for CEA related issues or changes
- Provide thought leadership to the CCoE on CEA and Cloud, ensuring Canada Life strives to adopt best in class practices
- Act as an active member of the Cloud community both internally and externally
- Act as a mentor and advisor to more junior members of the organisation
- Accountable for all CEA related OKR's and KPI's
- Meet all Delivery deadlines allocated by the Albert Programme or other such programmes that depend on the Cloud Environment

**Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:

- Broad understanding of both technical operations capabilities in Azure operations for cloud
- Multi-disciplinary expertise able to facilitate alignment across CoE functions
- Experience of cloud experience (particularly Azure) in managing business operations and modern FinOps
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills and proven relationship builder
- Excellent communication skills at executive level
- A natural leader, with experience of leading or coaching others
- Strong knowledge and experience technical understanding of cloud migrations
- Able to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience, emphasising key points for decisions and understanding
