**Fork Lift Operative - Selby**

Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for a FLT Operator to join and strengthen our clients existing team in Selby on a tempo

**Job purpose**:
To safely carry out operations as prescribed under Veolia working procedures to effectively

collect, process, sort and generally manage the customers waste in accordance with the

customers own guidelines.

**Responsibilities**:
Ensure routine collection and disposal of waste from around the site.

Safe use of counter balance forklift, reach truck, van and other mobile plant

Assist in the segregation, packaging and labelling of wastes

Assist in the removal from site of all waste materials thereby reducing stock build up.

Complete daily vehicle and equipment check sheets as required

Routine liaison with manager or supervisor on operational and safety aspects of work

Signing of duty of care and hazardous waste consignment notes

Provide operational support across the sites within the local area as required.

**Forklift Operator skills and qualifications**:

- General operative with diesel counterbalance up to 3500kg
- Accredited forklift Counterbalance license
- Ability to work on own and use own initiative

**What to expect from the role**:

- 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Friday, 8am until 4pm
- £11.50 per hour

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- Counterbalance licence (required)
