Your role at Rossall Nursery is to ensure that every child has the best possible start in life and to support them to realise their potential. You must provide a secure and safe environment in which children are able to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up. As a **Room Leader** you will work closely to support the Nursery Leadership Team, promoting the ethos and values of the setting. You will demonstrate ‘best practice’ in the setting and offer support with training and professional development within the staff team.

The role of the **Room Leader** is to ensure all children attending Rossall Nursery receive high quality care, are kept safe, and are provided with stimulating play experiences that meet their individual needs and support all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. In addition to childcare duties, the **Room Leader** is responsible for the day to day management of the associated learning space in terms of ensuring the Nursery’s operational objectives are met. The **Room Leader** will be responsible for the staff working within that room, in accordance with the requirements of the Children’s Act 2004, local authority, OFSTED requirements, and Nursery Policies and Procedures. The Nursery will ensure that you are given appropriate guidance and on-going instruction/training to be able to fulfil this role.

**Qualifications**

NVQ Level 3 or higher (Essential)

Paediatric First Aid qualification (Desirable)

Other childcare qualification (Desirable)

**Experience**

Previous experience of working with nursery age children (Essential)

Supervision of a nursery room (Desirable)

**Skills / Abilities / Personality**

Ability to work as part of a team (Essential)

Good organisational skills (Essential)

Ability to work on own initiative (Essential)

Good rapport with young children (Essential)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £27,691.00 per year
