Location: Manchester Office or Derby Office

Remuneration: up to £55,000 + discretionary bonus

The role of the Development Engineer - Formwork Systems will involve:

- Development Engineer position dealing with various products for temporary formwork/falsework systems
- Developing new product ideals for rental and sales markets
- Producing manufacture drawings and ensure products are high quality, safe, durable and economical
- Develop components and improve current products based around customer requirements
- Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure high standards are met and tolerances are achieved and maintained throughout production
- Carry out inspections and testing’s of new products as required

The ideal applicant will be Development Engineer - Formwork Systems with:

- Must have 3+ years product development experience within the steelwork / temporary formwork / temporary falsework
- Must have good knowledge of structural frame analysis packages (Rstab) and Finite element analysis (RFEM)
- Mechanical Engineering degree would be highly advantageous
- Must be familiar with design software such as AutoCAD / Revit / Nastran
- Familiar with determining maximum bend moments, shear and deflection
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Able to work autonomously with mínimal supervision
- Tenacious, professional and high attention to detail
