**PMO Portfolio and Programme Support Lead**

Would you like to support the IT Projects team across a large, complex programme or a portfolio of projects? We currently have a vacancy for a PMO Portfolio and Programme Support Lead at our site in Preston.

As a PMO Portfolio and Programme Support Lead, using your existing project monitoring and controls experience, you will be working closely with Project Managers and Portfolio Lead/Programme Managers to support and ensure projects are delivered to time, cost and quality. This will involve undertaking assurance of the information and supporting the Project Managers on governance, providing proactive insights and ensuring the team are adhering to processes and reporting cadence.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with autonomy to improve and evolve existing governance practice, working with the central PMO. Working in cross-functional teams you will be exposed to high complexity projects/programmes across the Enterprise IT Services business as well as working with other business units depending on the projects you are supporting with.

**Your main responsibilities as a PMO Portfolio and Programme Support Lead will involve**:
Managing governance activities across the Programme, aligned to the PMO direction

Undertaking insight and analysis of data to proactively identify issues and trends and support Programme Manager or Portfolio Lead and Project Managers in delivery

Undertaking assurance activities across projects within portfolio in line with quality and compliance requirements

Supporting Project Managers and ensuring PM&C processes and controls are understood and adhered to by delivery managers

Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement including sharing of best practice, implementation of changes and embedding across the team

Reviewing and producing PM&C reporting at programme / portfolio level for Senior stakeholders and steering boards, tailored to different audiences and adhering to reporting cadence

**Your skills and qualifications**:
Educated to HNC level ideally or equivalent relevant experience

Experience in a similar PMO/PMC support role or project controls role is required

Working knowledge of PM toolsets - MS Project preferred

Competent user of Excel and MS office packages

In-depth understanding of risk, issue and dependency management at project and portfolio level

Strong communication skills will be essential to your success in the business and the ability to collate, gather and analyse complex information. Good stakeholder management skills as well as organisation skills will support you in this role as well.
