**Summary**

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team at Happy Tots Day Nursery in Barrow-in-Furness. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating nutritious meals that support the health and well-being of our children, contributing to our mission of providing outstanding childcare services.
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and cook healthy meals for children in accordance with dietary requirements.
- Ensure all food safety standards are met and maintained.
- Plan weekly menus that cater to the nutritional needs of children.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary needs.
- Assist in training staff on food safety practices.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Engage with children during meal times to promote healthy eating habits.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a childcare or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to create nutritious meal plans tailored for children.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Passion for promoting healthy eating habits among young children.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12.31 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
