**Role**

The Accessories department is responsible for the processing and packing of throws and scarves to ship to our customers. Working closely with the Accessories Supervisor you’ll be working with a small friendly team sewing labels onto products to make sure it is perfect and meets our high quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities of the role**:
**Sewing**
- Sewing labels onto products
- Making cushions
- Overlock/Whip-stitch work for blankets

**Folding**
- Inspection of têxtile items.
- Folding to ensure fringing in in line. Cut any excess lengths of fringing.
- Retrieve any rejected items and repair to 1st grade where possible.
- Get piece end number from the department card system and add card description before putting in stock or out to the customer.

**Packing**
- Packing
- Ensuring that accessory items are refolded and packed in the correct way ready for distribution.
- Labelling the product to the customers’ requirements.
- Embroidery of product to customer specifications (if applicable) from set program
- Performing quality control checks.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Full colour vision
- Basic IT skills desirable.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Having high attention to detail.
- Be adaptable to help/cover in other departments where necessary.
- Having good interpersonal abilities.
- Being able to complete paperwork.
- Being able to work with a team.

**Personal Qualities**:
Working hours 07:00 to 15:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:00 to 14:30 Friday with some flexibility on the start time to allow for school hours/transport.

**Salary**: £10.00-£10.50 per hour
