Market Solutions Manager

As part of the Markets Services Delivery & Transformation team, this 12 Month FTC role offers accountability for defining and delivering an operational excellence framework for key oversight activities, such as;
- **Lloyd’s annual Syndicate Business Plan and Capital approval as Secretariat to the Capital Planning Group (CPG)**:

- **Quarterly Performance Improvement Process (PIP)**

With a broad remit operationally and strategically, this offers exposure throughout Lloyd’s and the wider market, key deliverable include:
**Operational excellence framework and strategy for key oversight activities**

Operational and strategic planning, documentation, governance and control of activities across multiple teams to ensure there is a joined up, consistent and well understood framework with clear ownership, collaboration and accountability across Corporationteams, agreement and support from the ELG and CPG and ultimately at Lloyd’s governing bodies.

**Data tools, analysis and complex MI reporting and automation**

Design and produce financial, operational and regulatory data, tools, insight and reporting to CPG, Lloyd’s governing bodies, external bodies like the LMA and members agents and the regulator. Understand detailed reporting requirements, challenges and inter-dependenciesacross teams and be responsible for the design and delivery of the single source of CPG and PIP MI. Be accountable for data accuracy including the data received from oversight teams.

**Documentation and governance**

Develop and sign-off the annual CPG strategy and protocols documentation which set the criteria and priorities for the annual process and support the delivery of Lloyd’s market messages. Clearly document the key oversight principles and be responsible forensuring there is awareness through training and communication to all stakeholders (internal and external) and a robust audit trail of documentation and both Business Plan and Capital Review and CPG activities.

**Internal/ external interface and effective stakeholder management**

Act autonomously to gather, influence and align views of key stakeholders and ensure there is a joined up and collaborative approach to delivering oversight like CPG and PIP. Be accountable for internal/ external facing communications, publications and materialsto explain and provide guidance for key processes, effectively collaborating with Markets Oversight Delivery (MOD), Markets and Corporation teams to ensure the successful delivery of own and team objectives and being a strong ambassador for our team role andpurpose.

**Systems**

Ownership and responsibility for the design and development of modern and sophisticated systems and tools to support the CPG and PIP. Systems include documentation, SharePoint sites, QlikSense and progressive automation of activities like letter production.

**MOD and Markets Transformation**

Understand and support the implementation of effective change to the Markets and MOD operating model (structure, purpose, people, behaviours, processes, data and technology), to add value and seek continuous improvement to the way oversight activities aredelivered.

**Business excellence**

Provide leadership on a range of strategic and operational priorities and reporting against key milestones, tracking and monitoring delivery of business cases and programme budgets, and coordinating and reviewing training and implementation plans for businessadoption of new processes/ procedures. Also responsible for the continuous improvement of key oversight processes by regularly reviewing the information used to make decisions, the data on which MI is based and feedback from internal/ external stakeholders.

**Communication and engagement**

Ensure that appropriate mechanisms are in place to promote communication, information sharing and engagement within Markets and more widely across the Corporation, using a number of internal collaboration tools, reports and presentations. Set the agendaand lead the discussion at internal working groups that support the effective delivery of the oversight framework.

**Data management**

Be responsible for the Syndicate Business Forecast (SBF) Return, conducting an annual review of requirements to make changes and capture any new data requirements from oversight teams. Liaise with Lloyd’s data and oversight teams to make changes, fulfildata governance requirements and produce guidance to managing agents. When needed, attend the external Core Market Returns user group and respond to any queries or concerns raised by the market to support the Senior Manager and Head of Markets Solutions Deliveryas return owner.

**Risk**

As risk representative, act as a key conduit between the Risk and Compliance functions and the Head of Markets Solutions Delivery facilitating effective two-way engagement. Assist the team in policy implementation, fostering effective controls and championingan effective risk and compliance culture. Lead the pre-and post CPG risk assessment exercises for Exco working closely with the MSD team, Risk Management and the CPG Chair who will present the materials you prepare.
