Job Title: Alarm Optimisation Specialist
Location: Durrington - Hybrid
Perm/FTC: 6 Month Secondment
Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
**Salary**: up to £34,100 per annum depending on skills and experience, including a comprehensive benefits package, company related bonus, Bupa Healthcare and Pension. We are currently looking for an experienced Alarm Optimisation Specialist to join our dynamic team at Southern Water.
The main purpose of the role is to lead and facilitate Alarm Optimisation workshops with various operational teams across Southern Water’s region. This challenging yet rewarding role will be based remotely, but there will be a requirement to visit the head office in Durrington, Worthing, twice a week or when necessary.
The Alarm Optimisation Specialist will work within a team that is focused on improving the quality of alarms and telemetry data that is received within the Operational Control department through various activities and continuous improvement.
The post holder will be responsible for building and managing the programme of works to ensure deadlines are met and targets are achieved - This may include urgent changes due to operational requirements, so an ability to remain efficient but flexible is key. You will be working closely with field operations teams in order to gather information and knowledge and will be required to suggest solutions that will be incorporated in the front-end solutions.
To be considered for this role, it is essential for you to have knowledge of Wastewater/Water assets and process, a good understanding of regulations, compliance and health and safety, understanding of alarm handling best practices and standards and experience working with schematic displays. You must be easily adaptable and exhibit good problem-solving skills.
Please note that your standard working week will be Monday to Friday, but you will be required to participate in the company wide Incident Management Rota. The role will involve an element of travel and you must hold a full clean driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
