**Job Summary**

Previous experience in a library essential.

**Duties**
- Assist student in locating and accessing library materials, including books, journals, and digital resources.
- Manage the circulation desk, including checking in and out materials, processing returns, and handling fines.
- Organise and maintain library collections to ensure easy access and retrieval of information.
- Support the planning and execution of library events and programmes aimed at community engagement.
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop strategies for improving library services.
- Provide assistance with technology-related inquiries, including computer usage and online resources.
- Maintain a clean and organised environment within the library space.
- Support children in small groups with reading through interactive accelerated reading sessions

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a library is essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students aged 11-16.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on customer service excellence.
