**Job Description**:
If you’re fascinated by technology, IT and data this is the apprenticeship for you
Haven’t heard of DevOps before? That’s ok - let’s break it down into two key areas:
Software Development (Dev) and IT Operations (Ops). In short, DevOps is the union of people, processes and technology to continually provide value to customers.
In this role you'll maintain data used throughout the financial services in the UK.
By using data analytic skills, you will learn how to find the root cause of any data processing failures and work to resolve issues helping improve data quality.
You can expect to get involved in operational activities, through learning about specific data assets/systems and using this knowledge to help your team with incident management if system issues occur. You can also expect to get involved in service and software improvement activities to continually evolve our systems and processes.
Experian are at the start of an exciting transformation journey, where we are migrating some of our legacy products and platforms to Cloud technology. By joining us in this role, you’ll therefore gain an appreciation of what once was, whilst also working towards future tech.
The best part of it all? The support you get from Experian. We’ll help you develop your skills, provide training opportunities and enable you to gain insight into business by working on real life projects. Over time, you will build and develop the skills needed for a successful career and unlock progressive career opportunities.
Alongside your role, you’ll study towards a Level 4 DevOps Apprenticeship through one of our training providers. The duration of the course is typically 18 months and in addition to your salary, you’ll benefit from fully paid tuition fees, as well as our support every step of the way.
If you choose to join us, you’ll receive industry training, wide-reaching career opportunities and a wealth of support through our Early Careers Network, buddy, line manager & mentor scheme. You’ll also join onto Experian’s structured 2 year Early Careers Development programme, which is packed with workshops, short-courses & online material designed to help kick-start your career.
Our concept is simple. We believe in expanding horizons - it’s what makes Experian a global leader and a Top UK Tech Employer.
**Qualifications**:
- To have obtained GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/Grade 4 or above.
- Due to UK government apprenticeship funding rules, you must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years and have permission from the UK government to live in the UK (not for educational purposes) or have obtained pre-settled or settled status.
We’re looking for individuals who are proactive, eager to learn and seek help when needed. You’ll need to be a team player with good communication skills, as you’ll be working with a variety of people.
You’ll also need a passion for learning tied with a problem-solving nature and
