**Enhanced DBS Required**
- **Qualifications : NEBOSH and/or IOSH is highly desirable**

**EXPERIENCE**

⚫ Basic Maintenance & DIY skills.

⚫ Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations including good practice in relation to caretaking/cleaning/hygiene.

⚫ Awareness and understanding of working in a school environment.

⚫ Experience of security and safety, including use of intruder and fire alarm systems.

⚫ Previous caretaking and/or cleaning experience.

**KNOWLEDGE & UNDERSTANDING**

⚫ Good organisational skills.

⚫ Ability to meet deadlines to the required quality standards.

⚫ The ability to use and manoeuvre relevant equipment.

⚫ Knowledge of building repair and refurbishment practices.

⚫ Knowledge of building management systems.

⚫ Core trade skill e.g. carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrics.

⚫ IWFM qualification.

**General Building and Premises maintenance throughout the school**
- Working with members of the site team to ensure the school is a safe and clean environment for pupils and staff
- Perform day-to-day DIY tasks around the school premises, ensuring facilities are well-maintained, from small fixes/repairs, to small painting and decorating tasks.
- Handle porterage duties, including the movement of equipment and supplies as needed.
- Monitor and manage gate duties, providing a secure environment for the school community (including monitoring and managing open/ lock procedure as and when required, security alarm, gate duties, CCTV)
- Occasional evening shifts for events set ups, which will be discussed in advance. A later start time will be given on these occasions.

**Salary**: From £14.45 per hour

**Experience**:

- School Caretaker: 1 year (required)
- School Premises Assistant: 1 year (required)
- Facilities maintenance: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Enhanced DBS (required)

- NEBOSH (required)
