Science Teacher needed at a secondary school in the Glossop area for immediate start until the end of the school year, this is a full-time post with full planning and marking responsibilities until the end of the academic year. The school have indicatedthat the role could be made permanent depending on performance.

Our client is looking for someone to add a positive presence into its science department, the team is said to be warm and welcoming. The successful applicant will teach across Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you will work with students of all ability levelsacross KS3 and KS4.

This role will involve delivering lessons to large group sizes, across a range of ability levels. To deliver high quality sessions with students with specific needs (SEN/EAL students) will be crucial to ensure that students develop at the required rate.

Additional responsibilities:

- Attend regular department meetings, raising any concerns you may have and providing updates on student progression
- Create and develop learning materials for entire classes and individual students
- Adapt your teaching to accommodate students with different learning styles
- Being able to successfully display patience and resilience when looking to develop student knowledge, whilst always being on hand to manage any pastoral issues
- Liaise with support staff to identify any students that would benefit from receiving extended support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
