**Job Title**: Warehouse Operative/Forklift Truck Driver

**Reports to**: Warehouse Manager

**Hours of work**: 3 week rolling shift pattern: Week 1 Wed-Fri 06:00-18:00, Week 2 Mon-Wed 18:00-06:00, Week 3 Mon-Tues 06:00-18:00 Thurs-Fri 18:00-06:00

**Job Purpose**:

- To be responsible and accountable for assisting the warehouse department with pallet preparation, internal transfer, and loading of lorries ready for delivery to customers and general warehouse duties.

**Responsibilities**:

- To work together with team in a flexible manner to achieve maximum productivity throughout the shift, liaising with the Team Leaders to resolve problem areas.
- Taking delivery of goods and supplies.
- Storing of goods.
- Preparation of stock.
- Loading of stock by forklift.
- Assisting with stock taking.
- Providing accurate records of stock movements.
- To ensure FIFO is carried out at all times.
- Printing delivery notes / Picking tickets.
- Communicating with drivers.
- Assisting the wider site with all movement requests.
- Daily FLT safety checks.
- To liaise with external contractors.
- To ensure that the work area is maintained in a safe and clean condition in accordance with site BRC and 6S standards and always being mindful of H&S requirements.
- To work as part of a team and using your own initiative in both planned and emergency situations.
- The Job Holder must, at all times, undertake tasks with due regard to the health and safety of themselves, their co-workers and visitors, following Company Safe Working Practices and all hygiene rules.
- The Job holder will, at all times, be aware of the Company Environmental Management System, (ISO 14001) and will follow the safe working procedures and practices to ensure environmental safety is maintained.
- Employees must plan and perform their work in accordance with the Company Safety, Health and Environmental Policy, standards and procedures; and in compliance with statutory provisions.
- Comply with all corporate policies and procedures within the organisation.
- Alert management immediately of any significant changes to business risks and internal controls effectiveness and notify management and/or Human Resources immediately of any breach.

The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description. **Essential Criteria**:

- Valid Forklift Truck Licence
- Demonstrable competence of operating a Fork Lift Truck within the last 24 months
- Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing to complete tasks as required
- Ability to work on ones own initiative to achieve work objectives taking accountability for own work/actions undertaken.
- Ability to respond positively to changing work demands.
- Wants to give good service, recognising the importance their work has on customer satisfaction.
- Is able to work as part of a team to meet departmental objectives.
- Confident in looking for continuous improvement in all areas of their work.
- Is conscientious and thorough in all aspects of work responsibilities and has a professional approach to work.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £26,406.00 per year
