Yard Person/driver

- Building effective working relationships with our new & existing customers, helping us to better understand their requirements.
- To ensure the efficient and safe running of the yard, keeping keep it in a clean and orderly state.

**Main tasks**:

- Ensure company vehicles are loaded and unloaded correctly and
- Unload and check goods inwards and sign all delivery notes other than own
- Maintain the yard in an efficient, orderly and clean
- Assist in planning the day to day workload to achieve maximum efficiency
- Ensure that all legal requirements are met with particular regard to health and safety
- Notify Yard Foreman or Branch Manager with regard to any complaints from customers.
- Keep a close eye on the possibilities of pilfering, take steps to prevent and notify manager.
- To assist the company and any other department / branch as and when required.
- A clean driving licence is required, as you may to drive the delivery truck from time to time.
- Uniform will be provided following successful completion of probationary period_

Hours: 7am to 5pm M-F and every other Saturday 8am - midday

- Experience of organising a yard.
- Knowledge of building products
- Knowledge of health and safety - risks, manual handling.
- Forklift experience (we can re-ticket you)
