Location: Salisbury or Portsmouth (2-3 days on site)
Duration: 6 months
IR35 Status: Inside
Clearance: SC or DV**
**Role and Responsibilities:
Working as part of a busy Service Desk Team there is a requirement for an individual to carry out the duties of a Service Desk Analyst in support of a large Service Delivery organisation**
**Accurately log and record call details
**Maintain high level of contact with users throughout the business by open communication.
Use scripts, personal skills and knowledge to resolve incidents at 1st line.
Accurately assign calls to the correct resolver groups.
Provide feedback to users relating to service.
Provide feedback to service areas on events and deficiencies in service provision as perceived by users.
Facilitate communication between service groups.
Create and maintain user based FAQ's.
Create known errors, log and assist in the maintenance of known error database.
Installation of software at user level.
Ensure that safe systems of work are adhered to.
Deal with user complaints in a professional manner.
Maintain knowledge on current industry-wide trends.
Ensure you are fully versed with business policies and procedures.
Create remote connections and support users.
Perform 1st line Server Administration tasks
Adding users to Active Directory object groups.
Microsoft Office 2010 diagnostics and support
Windows 7/10 Performance diagnostics, Application Error logging and reporting.
Windows 7/10 user support.
Microsoft Exchange basic administration
Perform 1st line Network diagnostics
Carry out any other duties or tasks that can reasonably be attributed to this role.

**Essential:
**Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Calm under pressure
At least 2 years experience in an IT customer focused environment
Ability to diagnose faults and resolve calls at 1st line
Minimum of 2 years Service Desk experience in a complex IT support environment
Ability to coach and mentor team members and users
A Self-motivated individual
Adapt to a changing environment as the business evolves
Full UK Driving Licence
