Balance Sheet Management Risk Oversight Business PartnerWe have an exciting opportunity for a Balance Sheet Management (BSM) Risk Oversight Business Partner to act as the second line of defence subject matter expert on BSM risks and operate as an intrusiveand intensive second line of defence risk manager. You will provide independent advice, oversight and challenge of Market Risk, Treasury Risk, Funding & Liquidity Risk, Capital Risk and wider Financial Sustainability Risks.We will give you the opportunityand support to develop and shape your career in a changing and exciting business, where you can enjoy the exciting challenge as we transform to achieve our ambitions.About the roleWorking collaboratively across several divisions you will ensure all activitiesdirectly operate within YBS Group's risk appetite and comply with internal policies and all regulatory standards and guidance. You will partner with key business stakeholders to drive the embedding of BSM Risk best practice across the Group and act as a keystrategic enabler to allow the business to better understand and manage the associated risk profile. Provide technical day to day challenge and guidance to shape key decision making on BSM Risk related matters to support the Group strategy whilst ensuringBSM Risk practices are operating efficiently and within the Group's risk capabilities. Responsible for the review of the Group's BSM Risk positions to support early identification and assessment of emerging risks, escalating potential issues to the Group Lead,Prudential Risk, Chiefs and relevant committees where appropriate. Ensure that the policy framework and risk appetite with respect to BSM Risk is appropriate, complete and aligned with regulatory guidance and internal governance structures. Ensure that thePrudential Risk Oversight plan captures the most critical BSM Risks faced by the business through the application of specialist expertise, business insight and environmental awareness. Provide technical guidance to the Prudential Risk Assurance managers toensure all planned thematic reviews are insightful, articulate risks clearly and raise appropriate actions to address any issues found.About youA lot of this role involves partnering and working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business up to directorlevel. Therefore, we are looking for someone who has strong stakeholder management skills who can confidently communicate with stakeholders at all levels and translate technical concepts and facts into clear and understandable written reports for commercialand operational colleagues.You will need to have a background in risk management in Financial Services business so that you can demonstrate specific experience in technical risk functions covering Market Risk, Funding & Liquidity Risk, Treasury Risk and CapitalRisk.About usAt YBS we don't have shareholders, we have members.
