**The Role**:
As a valued member of the University’s Corporate Health and Safety Team, you will support developing and implementing strategic and operational frameworks to promote a positive health and safety culture and good practices in risk management, employee safety, student safety, safety improvement, and building compliance. You will provide competent advice to faculties and support services on risk management, employee and student safety, health, and compliance, ensuring that suitable health and safety systems and processes are established throughout the organisation.
You will work collaboratively to improve health, safety, and compliance and contribute to successfully managing and delivering the team's key functions, ensuring effective communication with key stakeholders, faculties, and services. As part of your role, you will ensure the university meets its statutory health and safety legal obligations and provide competent advice and support as required under Regulation 7 of The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
You may also be required to support other health, safety and compliance activities as needed.
Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, hybrid working is available for this role.
