We are looking to hire an experienced Portfolio Finance Lead to join our CFO Function on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract. The role holder will ensure projects budgets, actuals and forecasts are robust and communicated to support data driven decision making. This includes evolving the forecasting model and inputting in to changes to the delivery model to increase governance without creating blockers to delivery speed.

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:

- Supporting projects with finance tracker and monthly Project finance reviews to ensure projects are working within budgets and maintain robust capex forecasts.
- Monthly forecast consolidation & Exec Reporting to provide high-level visibility of portfolio finance health
- Timesheet Reporting & Timesheet Governance to ensure time is attributed correctly to projects and BAU OpEx and CapEx budgets.
- Resource Management & Capacity Planning to support monthly forecasts and improve forecasting as well as resource availability.
- Ad-Hoc reports / board asks / Timesheet deep dives
- Data Modelling and manipulation across Portfolio to provide insights, hotspots and data driven decisions.
- Wider FP&A team support around month end, forecast and 3 year plan processes.

You will need:

- Experience in budget management or IT Financial planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders (including senior stakeholders)
- Experience in Data analysis
- Experience in development of cost models
- Ability to effectively collaborate across organizational boundaries;
- Experience of Excel and Data analytics and reporting tools
- Willingness to learn new skills and keep up to date with Cloud best practice Financial planning strategies
- Basic accounting principles (e.g. OpEx vs. CapEx classification)
- Power Apps experience (desirable)
- Understanding of Project & Finance processes (desirable)
- Portfolio Management experience (desirable)
