RT Occuaptional Health is seeking for an expereincedOccuaptional Health Advisor.

Providing actionable, evidence-based sickness absence / case management.

Health surveillance i.e. HAVs, drug and alcohol testing, drivers medicals, audiometry, spirometry, skin assessment, eye testing as identified by risk assessment and environmental monitoring of the workplace.

Pre employment medicals/fitness for work medicals providing advice on adaptations and restrictions as and when appropriate.

Safety Critical Medicals

Attending workplace call outs and incidents and simple treatment based procedures.

Providing advice on occupational health, safety and hygiene.

The role will also include some elements of health promotion activities.

Providing support for sickness absence management, giving advice as required on the referral process and also promptly triaging referrals and delivering comprehensive management reports.

Recognising and escalating cases appropriately to an Occupational Health Physician for either health surveillance or sickness absence management.

Analysing occupational health service provision, providing an analysis of outcomes and future priorities and participating in customer review meetings.

Advise clients on their risk assessment process to facilitate delivery of appropriate health surveillance requirements, in line with the appropriate Legislation.

Developing and reviewing customer’s policies, which may affect the health, safety and welfare of the employees in collaboration with the client’s stakeholders.

Ensuring adequate, factual, contemporaneous and legible medical records are maintained confidentially for all employees and stored safely and securely.

Participating in clinical governance / professional development activities to the required standards.

Maintaining effective communication with colleagues in the multi-disciplinary team, managers, clients and external agencies to ensure a seamless quality service delivery.

Ensuring the safe use and maintenance of equipment

Supporting clinical governance issues and best practice standards including regular clinical audits.

To be fully conversant with and adhere to all work related policies, procedures and guidelines, ensuringthatallworkoutputsarecompletedasrequiredandthatallrelatedtargetsandtimescales are met. Ensuring that work outputs are produced to ahigh standard of qualitythat meets all of the organization’srequirementsfornational, regional and local policies, procedures and guidelines.

Toparticipateinany/allassociatedtraining,developmentandappraisalprocessesrelevanttopost.

Any other duties as requested by management.
