Midday Supervisor

Nailsworth CofE Primary School are looking for a Midday Supervisor.

**Job Description**:
To supervise the safety, conduct and management of the pupils in the dining room, on the playground or in the classroom, dependant on the weather.

To maintain a high professional standard in the execution of the duties laid out in this job description.

To work co-operatively with other midday supervisors.

To supervise the children between the school and the dining room and, where weather conditions make it necessary, assisting with the putting on of coats and hats etc.

The Supervision of entry of children into the dining room and their behaviour in it, in line with the School Behaviour Policy.

To encourage creative play by engaging with children in games and setting up activities either on the playground or in the classroom during wet play.

To bring to the attention of the Deputy Head or Head Teacher any particular problems with regard to any individual pupil’s eating habits, including the possible inappropriate contents of lunch boxes.

To deal with unacceptable behaviour in line with the School Behaviour Policy, and to bring to the attention of the Deputy Head or Head Teacher any issues regarding unacceptable behaviour at lunchtime.

To deal with any minor cuts and bumps in line with the First Aid policy and to record the first aid given in the accident book.

To inform the First Aider and/or the Head of any children that require urgent medical attention.

To ensure the cleaning up of spills in the dining area and maintenance of a safe, clean environment.

To ensure the outside area, especially under the canopy, has been left tidy and free from toys, coats etc

To respect the confidentiality of information regarding pupils.

To undertake any relevant in-service training.

Any other duties commensurate with the effective operation of lunch times may be requested from time to time.
