Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Employment and Skills Tutor to work in South Shields. This position is initially for a period of 12 months and is paying £14.26 - £17.99 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment options are available).

The role:
Delivering high quality training to residents to ensure economic capability and wellbeing is improved and a suitably skilled workforce is available to meet the needs of local employers.

Developing and managing effective relationships with referral partners, key points of contact and other key stakeholders to maximise successful outcomes.

Working with colleagues involved in improving quality of services, contributing to the devising of processes and procedures to improve overall quality and consistency of programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Utilising the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and other relevant quality criteria to ensure learning is delivered to required standards.
- Working effectively with individuals and or groups of learners both in classroom based activities and in the community, ensuring that additional support is provided where required.
- Developing personal learning plans with learners which outline the aims of the programme, set SMART targets and monitor progress towards achievement
- Supporting learners to improve their everyday Maths, English and ICT skills.
- Providing quality careers/employability support and embedding information, advice and guidance to learners throughout the programme.
- Implementing strategies and supporting learners in self-esteem and confidence-building activities.
- Ensuring records of support provided and individual distance travelled are maintained and demonstrable.
- Submitting paperwork and documentation to a high standard, within required timescales.

Applicant Requirements:

- Qualifications: Level 4 Teaching Qualification.
- Experience: 2 years + working within a similar role.
- Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. Current DBS check and 2 x references.
- Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
