The Bodmin Jail is firmly established within the luxury leisure market, offering a 70-bedroom boutique hotel, a visitor centre and a heritage museum, all in one location. Located in the heart of Cornwall, our one-of-a-kind property provides the setting for new stories, cherished memories and unlimited possibilities. We delight our guests with our sophisticated yet cosy Champagne Bar, our signature destination restaurant, The Chapel and our more relaxed Courtyard restaurant for both daytime and night-time dining - inside and al fresco, when the weather permits. We have a new vacancy available within our strong kitchen team, they are looking for dedicated, resilient and enthusiastic people who would relish the opportunity to be part of a close knit team that forms the core of our business. For those that are ambitious and keen to grow, progression and training will be available so that you can work with us to build a successful career as a chef. We have flexible hours available between 7am and 11pm, but it's important to recognise that this role does include regular evening and weekend working.

While this is a back of house role predominately, we are dedicated to empowering all of our team to be part of our success as we are all responsible for truly entertaining our guests. This means being part of the stories to be told, the experiences to be had and the knowledge to share. You will need to have a passion for delivering great food, be relentless in your focus to deliver high quality and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Full training is offered in this role and no previous experience is required. All we need is an interest in hospitality and a desire to be part of a progressive successful team.
