**Head of Cyber Security**

**3- 6 month contract - must be available to start immediately**

**Inside IR35**

**Remote based - 1 day per week in Southampton**

My client a leading retailer based in Southampton are actively looking for an experience technical leader to join them as their Head of Cyber Security on an initial 3 - 6 month contract basis. This role will require you to take a strategic leadership approachacross multiple projects and programs, as well as lead a team of 3.

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- Extensive experience of cyber defence and threat management practices
- Ideally experience working across areas such as:

- Building out secure dev ops
- Incident management and investigation
- Onboarding of a MSSP.
- Migration to the cloud
- Proven experience in the implementation of industry frameworks such as MITTRE and NIST
- Strong understanding of current trends and developments in cyber
- An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily understood, authoritative, and actionable manner
- Strong understanding of the business relevance of information security risks and the current trends and developments in information security
- Excellent presentation skills, especially with senior executive audiences
- A demonstrated ability to use positive influencing skills effectively to modify their opinions, plans, or behaviours
- An understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality, prompt, and efficient service to the business
- Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one
- Strong organization, prioritization, and rationalization skills
- Has the accessibility and ability to interface with, and gain the respect of, stakeholders at all levels and roles in the company
- Is a confident, energetic self-starter, with strong interpersonal skills
- Has good judgment, a sense of urgency and has demonstrated commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service and business integrity
- Instinctive and creative
- Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
- Strong team values, recognises the value of a positive team environment and contributes to the creation of this.
