Customer Account Executive

We are recruiting for an Account Executive to join our team on a permanent full time basis. This role is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is passionate about customer service as well as Sales, has a ‘can do’ attitude and has the ability to deliver exceptional results when working under pressure. In this role you would be responsible for the successful and profitable organisation of all elements of the client’s tours throughout the confirmed booking process
- Start to finish.
**Key Role Objectives and Responsibilities**
- To establish and build long term relationships with clients through the effective handling and organisation of tailor-made tours in line with the NST tailor made brand
- To provide exceptional reliable customer service to clients from enquiry through to post travel, and to engage in, ensuring the successful resolution of any client related travel issues
- To liaise effectively with Commercial, Support departments, external contacts to ensure each element of the customer experience (itinerary, transport, accommodation, visits, etc) is delivered effectively
- Achieve growth in enquiries, bookings, revenue and profit, through the management of an assigned accounts, through the development of NST’s existing customers
- Ensure the effective retention of clients
- Develop a thorough understanding of each clients’ tour objectives and develop tailor-made itineraries to achieve them
- Maintain tour profit margins through effective negotiation and communication with clients
To be considered for the role of Account Executive, the following skills and experience are essential:
- Experience of providing exceptional customer service by telephone and in writing
- Sales Experience - Preferably telephone based
- Interest in Travel and Tourism
- Strong willingness to deliver excellent customer service and flexibility for meet client requirements
- Problem solving ability and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to work under pressure with proven experience of delivering results
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritise workloads autonomously
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Strong influencing and team working skills, able to build and maintain trusting relationships with both clients and colleagues
- IT Literate with knowledge and experience of using MS products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience of effectively managing and prioritising workloads autonomously using time management and organisational skills
- Grade C (4) or above in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification / experience
**Desirable Skills / Experience**
- NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service and Or Sales
- Previous Travel experience
- Knowledge of a foreign language (French, German, Italian and Spanish)
- Musical background or interest in music
- Experience of new business development and lead generation

- £17,337.50 basic salary (depending on experience) plus uncapped commission.
