We have a variety of long-term roles available within both Primary and Secondary schools, starting as soon as possible.

These schools cater for students with a wide range of additional learning needs including associated medical needs and challenging behaviours. Some pupils have a statement of educational needs and an Education Health Care Plan.

These Teaching Assistant roles will involve supporting SEND children in the classroom as well as at lunch and break times.

You will work closely with the class teacher supporting the students across various activities, while providing a happy and safe learning environment.

You will be working with pupils with a variety of SEND including complex medical needs, Autism and Speech Language & Communication Needs (SLCN).

Experience and understanding of a range of SEND is necessary and knowledge of skills such as alternative communication techniques and manual handling would be beneficial.

Alongside the staff you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.

**To be considered for this role you will need**:

- Experience supporting young people with SEND and complex needs
- To be comfortable and confident delivering personal care
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A caring and positive attitude with a flexible approach
