**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients for meal preparation.
- Support cooks and chefs in the kitchen by following instructions and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Participate in catering events as required, assisting with set-up, service, and clean-up.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
- Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being capable of taking initiative when necessary.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12.02-£12.11 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 30 per week
