Your World Healthcare is currently recruiting a NHS Call Handler based in Peterborough on a temporary basis.

**NHS Call Handler**

**Location**: Newmarket

**Parking**:No parking provision on site, good bus and Park and Ride provision nearby and on site cycle parking is available.

**Duration of booking**: This is a temporary expected to be for 3 months and likely to be longer

**Pay Rates**:
£10.00 paye inclusive of holiday or £11.00 umbrella per hour

**Working Days and Hours**:These can either be full or part-time from Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm

**Job Summary**

To contribute to the Outpatients, a professional Call handling service giving administrative and clerical support as appropriate to Trust users including patients, relatives and colleagues

**Key duties and responsibilities**:

- Receive and respond to straightforward telephone calls internal and external in a calm, professional, courteous and timely manner; forward complex queries to the appropriate department/person.
- Check and update patient details on Trust computer systems.
- Complete straightforward forms, administration and correspondence using templates
- Liaise with colleagues regarding issues outside your control
- Plan and organise a range of straightforward tasks to set timescales to ensure the provision of a professional clerical/administrative/call handler service as requested by manager and others i.e. patients, relatives, colleagues and Trust Staff.
- Produce work of the quality and quantity as required ensuring expected Trust and department standards and deadlines are met.
- Contribute to ensuring that the working environment is safe and of a professional appearance reporting any problems, organising repairs/collection of waste as appropriate and maintain efficient and effective use of resources.
- Work effectively and efficiently recommending better ways of working, sharing ideas with others and learning from mistakes to improve service delivery.
- Any other administrative duties as required
