Reservationist

Hazlewood Castle is an award winning wedding venue set in 77 acres of grounds, specializing in hosting weddings and events off all sizes and including leisure and spa breaks. We are currently recruiting for Reservationist to join our team and be based at Hazlewood Castle hotel. You would be taking and making reservations and should have a warm, personable nature, a smiley nothing is too much trouble attitude, amazing organisational skills and an eye for detail.

You will know and understand what it means to deliver amazing hospitality and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guest’s expectations. In this type of industry teamwork is key; you should be a strong team player willing to lend a hand wherever needed.

**The Role**
- Making reservations for guests and dealing with all aspects of the billing process, from taking payments and sending confirmations
- Taking restaurant bookings using ResDiary for residents and non-residents
- Booking spa treatments for the Spa when required
- Managing live availability for 3rd party websites
- Managing group booking enquiries, corporate and wedding party rates
- Selling and redeeming gift vouchers booked direct or by a third party site
- Reporting guest issues to management and dealing with initial holding responses
- Completing reservation checks on every shift
- Provide a warm and home from home experience
- To maintain a high standard in personal appearance and demeanor
- To have a good working knowledge of all departments of the Hotel to aid maximizing reservations
- Upselling to increase revenue. This is key to the roles success
- Database management
- Hours are generally 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm Mon to Fri but one week in 4 a Saturday may be required as well as the occasional later shift.
- Flexibility is important and a willingness to assist reception if required

**Required Experience for Reservationist**:

- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- To be able to understand each individuals requirements to make their stay as comfortable and memorable as possible
- Strong interpersonal skills, articulate and confident communicator
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service
- Be able to work under pressure
- Fluent level of written and spoken English
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Full UK Driving license due to the location of the hotel
- High level computer skills

**Salary**: £21,000.00 per year
