We have opportunities for Dispatch Controller to join our company at our Wellingborough site.

This is a day shift, working Monday to Friday. Core hours are 8am to 4:30pm. We offer competitive rates of pay, company pension, 23 days holiday plus the bank holidays, private healthcare and the opportunity for overtime during peak periods.

**Purpose of the job**:
To dispatch goods and are responsible for the day-to-day management of the way materials are regulated, stored and moved to the locations where they are required to meet the needs of the business. They will also be responsible for the management of the movement of materials, products and consumables.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Dispatch**
- Arranging outbound couriers
- Packaging items for dispatch
- Liaising with couriers and project managers over timing of dispatches
- Handling all sage/ system maters with dispatch including creating dispatch note and ensuring all sub-assemblies are within the structure of the part being dispatched
- Loading onto courier and ensuring leaves on time
- Prioritisation of dispatches during the day and the week to meet customer expectations or supplier expectation of project 12

**Goods In**
- Reviewing forward schedule to plan the week’s deliveries
- Liaising with suppliers over delivery slots
- Unloading vehicles with materials as they arrive on site
- Checking product quantity and quality of the delivery
- Booking the items into stock and matching to the purchase order
- Checking details on delivery note against purchase order
- Putting the stock away in the right location on time

**Stock Control**
- Cycle counting stock
- Doing stock takes when scheduled with finance
- Stock adjusting when physical counts and system records do not agree
- Identifying any other stock related issues whether damage, errors, not received or receipt discrepancies or chasing missing paperwork
- Control the stock inventory and organise the stores including checking storage instructions, monitor dates and rotating stock
- Monitor usage and proactively report / address potential shortages
- Flag any irregularity (high or low) stock usages or discrepancies
- Suggest / modify re-order points, if possible

**Consumables**
- Noting the purchase order detail in the automated e mail and using that to plan for the expected future delivery
- Liaising with suppliers over delivery slots
- Unloading vehicles with materials as they arrive on site
- Checking product quantity and quality of the delivery
- Booking the items into stock and matching to the purchase order
- Checking details on delivery note against purchase order
- Putting the stock away in the right location on time in the vendor or other location
- Checking expiry dates on items like glue

**Pattern Stores**
- Managing the storage, the referencing of patterns that come over from laminating
- Putting away in the correct location in the pattern store
- Labelling the storage area so that patterns can be found easily
- Liaising with project managers over how long to keep the patterns

**Kit Cutting**
- Assisting with the processing of picking lists when work load is very high
- Advising kit cutting when materials have arrived for storage into the freezer
- Dealing with free issue materials as they arrive letting project managers know and delivering to laminating or the freezer

**Project 12 / Lacquering Process Management**
- To maintain the tracking system for monitoring of sub contracted work, processing parts through internal systems to provide accurate traceability of parts sent to third parties.
- To manage and carry out stock takes on and off site for such parts

**SKILLS**:

- Computer literate
- Microsoft excel
- Sage or similar software experience
- Administrative experience
- A flexible approach and strong prioritizing skills are key
- Work to specified processes as detailed in Departmental procedures
