"They are good to deal with and go above and beyond." - Chambers & Partners_ We have two exciting opportunities, either at Associate or Senior Associate level, to join our Energy Projects team in either Bristol or London. While our team has deep and varied expertise across the energy sector, we are looking in particular for individuals with a background in either Project Finance or Energy Project Development. You will be involved in a variety of projects and will be given early responsibility for building client relationships and business development, whilst working in a collaborative and supportive team environment. **The practice** Our Energy Projects team offers clients high-level expertise across the project lifecycle: from project development, to project financing, construction, operations and decommissioning. We have been at the forefront of developing structures to meet the requirements of the market and have an exciting pipeline of work and opportunities. Our offering is broad and our extensive practice supports developers, investors and lenders in all aspects of project development and financing across the energy sector, both on a UK-wide level and internationally. While we are particularly known for the quality of our renewables practice, we have deep and extensive expertise across conventional, thermal and smart technologies. Beyond the UK, we have a market-leading European practice in conventional, renewable and low carbon energy infrastructure, and we are known in particular for our market leading decarbonisation and net-zero orientated focus In relation to the Project Finance role, our wider international team has a reputation for successfully delivering first-class support in all segments of the infrastructure and energy markets. We advise borrowers, sponsors, funds, banks, non-bank lenders and bond arrangers on all products, from bilateral and syndicated senior debt through to listed bonds and other debt capital markets products. Within the Energy sector we are widely acknowledged as the leading adviser on the move to a decentralised and decarbonised energy industry and adoption of innovative energy solutions and have adopted decarbonisation as one of the themes underpinning the firm's Transformational strategy. The practice has recently been boosted further by three new high-profile Partner hires into the team. **The team** The Projects team is split between Bristol and London with 13 Partners; 6 Associate Directors; 5 Senior Associates; 6 Associates, 8 Trainee Solicitors and 1 Paralegal. You will have the opportunity to work directly with a number of Partners in the team. **Technical skills and experience** **Your career development** Like all our lawyers, you will benefit from our multi-award winning career development programme. At each stage of your career this provides you with: - clear expectations of your role and what it takes to progress; - high quality clients and work, with early responsibility and client exposure; - thorough assessment and individual feedback from a range of experienced colleagues; - robust technical training with early skills based development, increasingly tailored to you; and - reward for your contribution, progression and potential, rather than PQE or tenure. **Salary and benefits** We offer competitive salaries and generous benefits. **For more information or to apply** - At _Osborne Clarke_ we value difference and encourage applicants from all social backgrounds, ethnicities, disabilities, gender identities, and sexual or romantic orientations. We want everyone to feel that OC is a place where you can be yourself and where you belong, and our range of interest groups and diversity networks - not to mention our great teams - are a part of making that a reality._ - We support working families via a range of family and caring friendly policies and will accommodate flexible working where we can. We value the health and wellbeing of our people: for example, we're signatories to the Mindful Business Charter, have an active network of mental health champions and offer free initiatives and flexible benefits to all our people. _ - Being an inclusive employer is important to us. We have made a number of external commitments such as the Race Fairness Commitment and Women in Law Pledge, and are working with organisations like Stonewall to become a more inclusive employer. _ - Osborne Clarke is a Living Wage Employer, so we're committed to paying everybody in our business enough to live on and to enable them to save for the future._
