To accelerate our transformation journey, we have identified the need for a pivotal new role - Head of Strategic Portfolio Delivery Office. This role will bring all transformation services together to make sure we are executing on our vision. It will lead functionally/product aligned project and portfolio management (PPM) resources to assure and enable effective ongoing delivery and maximised value of proposed and in-flight projects and initiatives.

This role will be at the forefront of leading and implementing value delivery frameworks across the enterprise, ensuring functional PPM processes and strategies are defined and accessible to all. It will ensure effective resource demand planning and management is established to enable flexible deployment of resources in service of a wide-ranging set of transformation priorities. It will be accountable for cost prediction, ensuring risks and issues are identified and managed, whilst overseeing that initiatives are managed within planned cost parameters.

This role will build relationships with business and technology executives across the enterprise, partnering with executives, SLT and product managers to define the vision and create a strategically aligned portfolio roadmap.

Critical to success in this role is the ability to foster an environment that enables cross-fertilisation of knowledge, ideas experimentation and innovation and will leverage external thinking to help the function grow and develop. It will have a strong focus on developing the capability within the function, defining clear learning journeys and establishing compelling career pathways, whilst coaching individuals within the function and giving them opportunities for career defining moments whilst working in the team.

This is a rare opportunity to play an active role in evangelising tool driven delivery and platform driven governance in all engagement across the enterprise, enabling adoption of best practice framework and common tools. Being visible and proactively engaged throughout the portfolio is a non-negotiable/must for this role.

**What you'll be doing**:
The breadth of the transformation portfolio encompasses $250m+ investment budget, $190m+ transformation savings, with 500+ programmes/projects across the portfolio of change.

Key Responsibilities:

- Building a world-class Strategic Portfolio Delivery Office capability - a diverse team of highly-skilled specialist covering domains such as: programme/project management and scrum mastery, PPM standard, PPM Agile methods & tooling, functional reporting, cross-portfolio issue resolution, learnings & best practices
- Establishing best-in-class, technology enabled resource demand planning and management to enable flexible deployment of project management resources, scenario modelling, demand profiles, and a real-time picture of overall resource capability
- Work with the Strategic Portfolio Management Office to support the development of the portfolio narrative, linking the strategic plan with the business architecture.
- Recommend how financial and other resources be allocated across the portfolio to optimise delivery against the plan. Support the resourcing team develop strategies to address resource gaps
