LifeCare is an Edinburgh based charity working across the city providing services for older people. We also provide a dynamic community benefit through our community centre and community café situated in the heart of Stockbridge, Edinburgh.

We are recruiting for a new Community Hub Coordinator, who will help us reconnect with the community as we move out of Corona Virus restrictions and help us, help our community thrive and provide the resources that they need.

**Purpose and Scope of Job**

The main purpose of the role is to:
To act as a first point of contact for the LifeCare Centre and Café ensuring our customers and visitors receive a warm and friendly welcome and any customer queries are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner. To ensure the management and smooth operation of the centre and café. To work closely with colleagues, customers and partners to ensure that the centre is a vibrant, well managed facility for the benefit of local people, those booking community spaces and other centre users.

To work with the Business Relations Manager and Business Development Manager to identify and research new opportunities for the community centre and café. To attract and develop activities in the centre and café to increase community presence and expand the customer base. To ensure that that the activities and facilities at the centre address the local community’s mental and physical health needs.

To promote the community benefit of the LifeCare centre and café to the local community, third sector organisations, community groups and local businesses. To develop and implement a communications strategy for the community venue and cafe to ensure delivery targets and outcomes are achieved. To work with fundraising/communications team to maximise publicity of the charity’s new projects/opportunities and to maximise support from external agencies.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £18,686.00 per year
