Bakery assistant

Duties

Assist in the preparation and baking of various bakery items, including pies and pastries.

Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in product quality.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and bakery area.

Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.

Support the team in managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.

Help with packaging and displaying finished products for sale in store and preparing for online orders.

Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.

**Skills**:
Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.

Experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not essential.

Basic knowledge of baking techniques and food preparation methods is preferred but not essential.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

A passion for food production and an eagerness to learn new skills as all training will be given.

This position is 20 hours over a 5 day week.

Mon Wed Fri 10am-2pm

Tuesday Thursday 7am-10am

Hours may increase over busy periods but will be discussed before commencing, wage will also be discussed at interview.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
