This senior position requires extensive knowledge and experience with credit portfolio, portfolio management and risk management. You would be responsible for determining strategy for managing and identifying risk for the global portfolio. You would be accountable for cross line of business risk execution of respective core processes. Additionally, you will have responsibility for identifying emerging risk within a global portfolio and integrating related market risk strategies. As a Credit Risk Executive, you will have credit approval authority, approving and providing expertise on highly complex or high value transactions, which gives you accountability for portfolio performance and asset quality.
**Responsibilities**:
- You will review credit proposals, new transactions, sanctioning exposure/limits for portfolio clients within appropriate risk parameters under delegated authority; risk types covered include lending, structured funding trades, RCFs, FX, derivatives, repo, GTS facilities.
- you will provide feedback to GCIB Credit/GMC (Enterprise Credit) on new client/transaction screenings in order to influence outcomes in line with credit risk appetite, including appropriate transactions structures.
- You will identify and monitor top down emerging risk trends within the portfolio and devise action plans for mitigation where appropriate.
- You will build and maintain portfolio-level reporting routines which cover key movements in portfolio sensitivities, exposure changes and credit rating migrations.
- You will be involved in regulatory deliverables and other ad-hoc legal entity tasks which require credit risk input.
**Partnerships**:
You will partner with senior ECR colleagues to manage the portfolio and work with Enterprise Credit (‘EC’, 1st line of defense credit team) in supporting our European client base. The role involves building and maintaining legal entity and portfolio-level reporting routines as well as contributing to regulatory deliverables.
**What we are looking for**:
- Language: Fluency in English is essential.
- Demonstrable evidence of your previous coverage responsibilities of a portfolio of European Corporates
- Demonstrable experience with operating under delegated approval authority
- Solid familiarity with product suite, including loan and derivative products, and legal documentation (facility agreement, ISDA/CSA, GMRA, GMSLA)
- Experience of discussing complex structures with corporate and investment banking, sales and trading.
