Internal Sales / Trade Counter Assistant

**Salary**: £25,000 to £30,000 negotiable, depending on experience plus pension scheme

Location: Northampton

Hours: 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday

Company Description:
A well-established Independent Electrical Wholesaler looking for an exceptional all-round trade counter and branch assistant to join our small team in Northampton. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of our continued success.

**Previous sales experience working in the Electrical Wholesale, plumbing or building trade sector is essential**

Person:

- You must be confident, reliable and punctual, be self-motivated and enthusiastic with a solid work ethic and a “can do” attitude whilst being a team player who enjoys a busy and productive working environment
- You must have a proven track record of working in trade counter / internal sales within either the electrical, building or plumbing industry, be dynamic with a good sense of humour and a passion for achievement and success
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- A motivational and dynamic person with attention to detail and pride in their work
- A positive and hardworking attitude
- Quick learner
- Ability to work well in a small team
- Flexible and adaptive personality

Key Responsibilities:

- Building, maintaining and enhancing excellent customer relationships to encourage repeat business
- Serving customers over a busy trade counter
- Answering the telephone and talking to customers
- Processing orders and quotations
- Trade counter merchandising
- Dealing with and resolving any customer queries
- Delivering to customers as and when required
- Picking & packing and general warehouse duties

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme
- Yearly bonus
