The role offersopportunities for training and formal qualifications, practical experience,and site attendance along withtheopportunitytoprogressintotheBuildingSurveyorrolewithinthecompany. **Responsibilities**: - Book site visits for the Surveying Team - call property owners to advise when the surveyor will attend the property and confirm access requirements. Where required, booking "jointvisits" involvingmultiplepartieswhomustall attendthesiteatthesametime. - Completing desktop reports - review third party impact damage files and provide a reportcontaining observations and a schedule with costs to complete the repair without attendingsite. - Source materials from suppliers - utilise suppliers who have an existing relationship with the business and find new reputable suppliers to obtain a quote for supplying materials required to completetheattendingsurveyor’s quotefortheworks. - Chasing contractors - call contractors to chase-up the progress of the quote they have been asked toprovide toenable theattendingsurveyortocompletetheirquotefortheworks. - Writing Risk and Method Statements (RAMS) - writing RAMS for all works that will be undertaken bytheOperatives ontheBuildingSolutions Team. - Provide overflow support for the attending surveyors - compile and write reports for theattendingsurveyorswhenrequiredbythedemands of thecollective workload **Requirements**: - Degree educated - relevant degree to role - ComputerliterateandconfidentwithMSWord,MSExcelandMSOutlook. - Effectiveverbalandwrittencommunicatorwithgoodspellingandgrammar. - Abletoworkeffectivelyaspart of ateam. - Organisedand honest. - Professionalpresentationon siteandoverthephone. - Basic understanding of construction methodologies, legislation and regulations, and rectification techniques. - **Desirable**: experience handling and reviewing damage to buildings caused by theimpactinsuranceperilorworkingwithintheconstructionor homeinsuranceindustry. - **Desirable**:NHCinconstructionand/orH&SqualificationwithCITB. **HOURS OF WORK**:9.00-5.30pm Monday to Friday with 1 Lunch **STARTING SALARY**:£23,000 - £28,000 DOE **HOLIDAY**:25 days plus bank holidays. **BENEFITS**:Excellent progression.
