Finance Assistant

Undertake routine claims handling & financial tasks in support of service or corporate activities to facilitate efficient financial management & administration.
**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
Undertake the administration of routine insurance claims to ensure they are effectively and efficiently processed, meeting both statutory & internal procedures & standards
Conduct basic claims investigation & liaison with other Council services to collate evidence to assist external claims handlers in investigating & determining liability
Maintain computerised internal insurance database, schedules & other financial records to ensure they are accurate & up to date
**Process and collate financial data in order to provide accurate and timely information to service and/or corporate managers.**
**Undertake routine financial processing tasks including downloading bank statements, raising purchase orders & BACS/CHAPS payments.**
Assist with treasury management duties to ensure the efficient investment of Council funds.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 7 months
**Salary**: From £11.40 per hour
