**Overview**:
Compass Associates is excited to be recruiting for experienced Counsellors on behalf of a leading Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provider. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to provide immediate emotional support to individuals across a variety of sectors, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing. Working within a hybrid model, you will deliver support via a 24/7 helpline and have the opportunity to take on structured therapeutic sessions once post-probation.
As part of a highly supportive team, you will be guided by a team of experienced managers and clinical experts, ensuring the highest standards of care for clients in distress. **Key R esponsibilities**:
Assess clients’ needs and provide appropriate guidance, with the potential for crisis management.
Take on therapeutic sessions with clients, offering structured counselling once probation is completed.
Manage and de-escalate high-risk situations, ensuring client safety through proper risk assessment.
Collaborate with your manager to address critical cases, including liaising with emergency services if required.
Access a wellbeing room for debriefing following challenging sessions.
Work within a team structure that includes both on-site and remote counsellors.
**Essential Requirements**:
A minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience in counselling (non-negotiable).
A minimum of 150 hours of adult counselling (this can include qualification hours).
Level 4 Counselling Diploma or equivalent.
**BACP Registered (or equivalent membership**: NCPS, IACP, UKCP, BABCP, COSCA).
Experience managing suicidal ideation and trauma cases.
Must be within a reasonable commuting distance to Manchester.
Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts
**Working Hours & Hybrid Model**:
**Office Hours**: 7am to 8pm, with shifts spread across the week.
**Full-time**: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.
**Part-time**: Flexible hybrid working options.
