**The Role of Project Manager**
Our client, who is in theastrophysics research industry, is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join their existing project management community to assist in the procurement of receiver bands, cryogenics and single pixel feed service contracts.This project is initially for 6 months with possible extension of up to a year. The role will be worked predominately at our client's prestigious site in Macclesfield, with some opportunity to work from home. The project detail is outlined below: -- Develop the procurement packs for the contracts, including NEC4 Scope, NEC4 Contract Data, market survey pack, pre-qualification pack, ITT pack, sole source justification
- Work alongside other project managers, procurement specialists and engineers to prepare for and undertake internal reviews of the procurement packs and perform agreed actions
- Respond to queries from tenderers, assist in the evaluation of tenders and once awarded, the initiation of contracts
- Engage member country stakeholders as needed (South Africa, Sweden, India, Spain, Canada and UK)

**About you**
This role will suit somebody with a science or engineering background, that has sound experience of procurement within a project manager role. Knowledge of NEC4 contracts would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.

**Essential**
- Project Management experience, working client side with senior stakeholders
- Well organised and proficient at developing good quality documentation
- Experience of corporate project work with multi-disciplinary teams at a variety of levels
- The ability to have a strong impact and influence key decisions
- Has a structured and analytical approach
