**Position Description**:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Property and Casualty Underwriter to join our successful Property and Casualty team at Allianz Southampton.

As a Senior Property and Casualty Underwriter, your knowledge within the Property and Casualty market and relationships with our key brokers will allow you to strive and develop our ever growing Account through retention of existing business, and a hunger to write and win new business.

Your role will also include the training and development of underwriters, internal audits, assisting with account management and reporting, developing broker relationships including regular broker visits. and carrying out mid-term adjustments. You will also be accountable for engaging fully in the cross sell culture, collaborating with your colleagues in other departments to support our ambitious growth plans.

We are looking for someone that has an excellent knowledge of the Property and Casualty Market and currently holds senior underwriting authority.

- To build and develop successful broker relationships
- To be visible in the local market, you will thrive on face to face contact with brokers and end customers
- To develop business relationships with key clients
- To achieve agreed financial and operational performance targets
- To collaborate strongly with other departments to achieve the Company's goals in respect of service delivery
- Contribute to the development of others within the team

**Skills & Experience**:

- Outstanding technical underwriting skills in commercial property and casualty.
- Excellent trading skills and a confident negotiator. Proven experience in handling large cases.
- Strong ability to build, develop and maintain broker relationships.
- Achievement orientated, able to organise own workload to meet tight deadlines and with a positive attitude.
- A good team player. Supportive to others with an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
- Confident and engaging communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence others.
- ACII qualified or progression towards
- Full working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
